Canada’s EnerGuide Rating System: Version 15.0 (Draft version)
Demonstrate knowledge of :
- The EnerGuide Rating System, and how it is applied to both existing and new home
construction.
- The importance of conducting blower door tests.
- Identifying air leakage locations and performing the exhaust devices depressurization
test
- The HOT2000 software and modelling and general features
- Administration and Delivery of the EnerGuide Rating System Version 15.0
- The code of ethics, code of conduct and conflict of interest guidelines.
- The roles and responsibilities of NRCan, service organizations, and energy advisors
- The roles and responsibilities of builders
- Quality assurance
Coming in 2015:
- Exams will be available which must be written by ALL* energy advisors to be certified
in Canada.
* both new and existing EA’s must challenge these exams to be in-line with
the new procedures. - CanadainEnergyRaters.ca will be offering preparation procedures for proponents wishing
to prepare for these exams.
